FAQs

Custom Orders

Do you accept custom orders?

Yes! I accept custom orders depending on my current workload and your idea. I typically take on requests that are similar in style to my previous pieces, as they best align with my design approach and techniques. Feel free to reach out with your idea via email (silverliningjewellery.store@gmail.com), TikTok/Instragram DMs, or via my contact form.

What is your custom order process?

Once you have an idea in mind, feel free to reach out via the contact form, email, or Instagram/TikTok DM. You’re welcome to send in inspiration photos or sketches to help me understand your idea; however, please note that I will refuse to replicate the work of another artist.

If necessary, I will send you a rough mock-up of the design we’ve discussed to make sure we’re on the same page before I begin.

Please note: I do not currently accept personal gemstones or materials (e.g., seaglass) to be sent in for customisation.

After I’ve accepted your custom request, I’ll begin working on your order once the deposit has been paid here.

When your piece is complete, I’ll send you a private link to your custom order to pay the remaining balance.

How long do custom orders take to complete?

From ideation to production, custom orders usually take 4–5 weeks to complete. Please note that more complex designs may require additional time.

Materials & Care

What materials do you use to create your jewellery?

The handmade elements of each piece are made from either sterling silver or fine silver.

Other components such as necklace chains, earring hooks and jump rings are also made from 925 sterling silver, with some plated with rhodium or platinum for added durability and resistance to tarnishing.

All gemstones used in our pieces are lab grown- a conscious choice to support ethical and sustainable labour practices.

Specific details will be provided in the product descriptions of each piece.

Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?

Yes! All metals used in our jewellery are hypoallergenic and designed to be gentle on sensitive skin.

How should I care for my jewellery?

We recommend these tips to keep your silver jewellery looking its best:

  • Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, perfumes, and water to prevent tarnishing and preserve shine.
  • Avoid wearing your jewellery in pools, oceans, and hot springs.
  • Polish regularly with a soft cloth to maintain your silver's shine.
  • Gently clean with lukewarm water and mild soap to remove dirt and debris. A soft-bristled toothbrush can help in this process. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
  • Store in a cool, dry place. When possible, keep your jewellery in an airtight bag or storage box to slow oxidation and prevent the buildup of dust.

Sizing

Do you have a ring size chart?

Yes! Here is the full sizing chart we go by, with matching international ring sizes for easy reference. If in doubt, always refer to the inner diameter as the most accurate guide.

How do I measure my ring size?

Here are a couple of methods you can use to figure out your ring size:

Option 1: Use a stainless steel ring sizer

  • This is the most accurate way to measure your ring size.
  • A ring sizer is a tool that lets you test different sizes on your finger, and is readily available on various online platforms/jewellery stores at an affordable price.
  • Simply slide the sizer onto your finger—it should fit snugly but still move easily over your knuckle.
  • The number or letter displayed on the sizer is your ring size.
  • If you need more information/visuals, head to my Instagram page and view the "sizing" highlight.
  • Once you have your ring size, compare it with our sizing chart below.
  • Note that the sizes displayed on our product listings are in UK sizing.

Option 2: Use a printable ring sizer

  • If the first option is not available to you, the next best option is to print out a ring sizer. With it, you can:
  1. measure the size of a ring you already own and/or
  2. measure the size of your finger with a paper cutout
  • There are several printable sizers available online that you can use, but here is one that we recommend
  • Print out the chart and follow the instructions.
  • If you need more information/visuals, head to my Instagram page and view the "sizing" highlight.
  • Once you have your ring size, compare it with our sizing chart below.
  • Note that the sizes displayed on our product listings are in UK sizing.

Will adjustable rings fit any size?

Some of our rings have an open design, which allows for adjustability. However, this does not mean that it will be able to accommodate every size. We recommend purchasing an adjustable ring only if your finger size is close to the listed size (up to 2 UK sizes larger or smaller). This ensures a comfortable fit without overstretching the ring.

Please note that many of our rings have a thick, sturdy band, which can make self-adjustment difficult. If you’d like your ring adjusted to another size before shipping, you can leave a note at checkout with your preferred size.

Shipping

Which shipping method should I opt for?

Standard shipping is an affordable option but usually comes with longer delivery times and basic tracking. Tracking updates may be limited and often stop once the parcel arrives in your country. Depending on your destination, your order might be delivered to your local post office instead of your shipping address. If your delivery takes longer than one month, please contact your local postal service.

FedEx International Priority offers extensive tracking updates and faster delivery times, typically within a week. If you prioritise speed and regular updates, we recommend choosing this option.

Please note that in both cases, we not responsible for lost mail.

When will I receive my order?

You’ll see an estimated transit time at checkout, based on your location. Please note that processing your order may take an additional 1-2 working days.

Please ensure that you provide the correct shipping address at checkout, as it is unable to be changed once the parcel has been sent.

Can I track my order?

All standard shipping orders are shipped through Singapore Post. Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive a tracking number to follow its journey. Head to the following website and enter your tracking number under the "Track Items" tab:
https://www.singpost.com/

All FedEx International Priority shipments come with full tracking. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a FedEx tracking number via email. You can track your parcel’s real-time status and updates by entering the tracking number on the official FedEx tracking page here: https://www.fedex.com/en-sg/tracking.html

Will I have to pay import duties and taxes on my order?

As an international buyer, you may need to cover your country’s GST or other import taxes, customs and duties. These fees can vary, so we suggest checking with your local customs office if you have any questions about additional costs. Please note that we are not responsible for any costs that may arise.

About the Brand

What's your story?

SILVERLINING JEWELLERY is a small independent jewellery brand based in Singapore, solely owned and operated by me, Sophie— the designer and silversmith behind every piece. From design and production to marketing, content creation, and shipping, every aspect of the business is managed from my home studio.

In 2024, I discovered the art of silversmithing and was instantly captivated by the craft. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion the more I learned about it. At this time, I was facing a lot of uncertainty in my career and questioning what direction I wanted my life to take. Eventually, I realised that building a small business of my own was the path I wanted to pursue, and I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion into something more. That journey led to SILVERLINING JEWELLERY— a reminder that some of the best things can come from not knowing what’s next.

My work is heavily inspired by nature, with a focus on organic textures, molten finishes, and sculptural shapes inspired by animals and the natural world. I’m especially drawn to imperfect, fluid forms and translating them into pieces designed to be worn, lived in, and cherished for years to come.
